02 March 2026 13:56
A representative of Iran’s Ministry of Education has announced that the government has declared seven days of national mourning following the death of Ali Khamenei.
The ministry representative said the decision was made in light of the period of mourning and the proximity of Laylat al-Qadr and related holidays, Caliber.Az reports per Tasnim.
The official stated that all face-to-face classes in schools will be suspended until the end of the academic year. Instruction will continue remotely through the Shad educational platform, the ministry added.
