Iran demands full Israeli pullout from southern Lebanon for final deal

Iran has identified the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon as a key condition for any final settlement, state broadcaster IRIB reports, citing an informed Iranian source.

The source said that any long-term agreement must include the full departure of Israeli troops from southern Lebanese territory, describing the issue as one of Tehran's principal "red lines" in the ongoing negotiation process.

According to the source, the intensity of Israeli military strikes has decreased over the past six days, a development that Iranian officials attribute to Tehran's actions.

The source also emphasized that Iran is prepared to support only a permanent ceasefire arrangement, stressing that temporary agreements would not be considered a definitive solution to the conflict.

Tehran maintains that any durable resolution must address the presence of Israeli forces in southern Lebanon and provide guarantees for a lasting cessation of hostilities.

As of publication, Israeli authorities had not issued an official response to the statements reported by IRIB.
