Iran demands ICC stop Israeli actions in Gaza Strip

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian sent written appeals to the chairman and the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) demanding that the ICC stop Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian sent written appeals to Chairman and Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Piotr Hofmanski and Karim Ahmad Khan respectively, in which he demanded to stop Israel's actions in the Gaza Strip, TASS reports, citing the corresponding statement of the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic on the Telegram channel.

“Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has sent letters to the ICC chairman and the prosecutor, emphasizing the need to expedite the investigation into recent crimes in the Gaza Strip. The barbaric bombing of the Gaza Strip and the Israeli invasion of the enclave, which killed over 14,000 civilians and injured at least 32,000, are clear examples of war crimes. They should be considered crimes against humanity and acts of genocide,” the text reads.
