Iran denounces US, Israel over “coordinated disinformation campaign”
Iran has accused the United States and Israel of orchestrating a coordinated disinformation campaign against Tehran, dismissing allegations concerning its nuclear program, ballistic missiles, and the reported death toll from January protests, Iran International reports.
In a post on X, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei cited the “law of propaganda coined by Nazi Joseph Goebbels” and claimed that the tactic is now being “systematically used by the US administration and the war profiteers encircling it, particularly the genocidal Israeli regime, to serve their sinister disinformation & misinformation campaign against the Nation of Iran.”
Baghaei added that claims about Iran’s nuclear program, ballistic missiles, and the casualties during the January unrest are “simply the repetition of ‘big lies.'"
Earlier reports suggested that US President Donald Trump asserted that Iran has already developed missiles capable of posing a threat to Europe and U.S. military installations abroad, and is now pursuing the development of longer-range systems with the potential to reach the continental United States.
