Iran detains 30 suspected spies for Israel and US
Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence has announced the arrest of “30 agents of the American-Zionist enemy” in the provinces of Hamadan, Lorestan, and Kerman, according to IRNA.
The ministry stated that the “unknown soldiers of Imam Mahdi” identified and detained the suspects based on citizen reports and intelligence operations. The individuals are suspected of passing information to the U.S. and Israel.
According to the statement, 24 of the detainees were transmitting coordinates of military, police, and security facilities, as well as the locations of security forces and military equipment in various cities across Hamadan province. Some of these sites were subsequently struck in “enemy” air raids. Authorities also confiscated 11 new Starlink satellite terminals and several firearms and melee weapons from the detainees.
The Ministry of Intelligence added that four people arrested in Lorestan were linked to a terrorist group that collected intelligence for U.S. and Israeli intelligence services through intermediaries and was preparing street unrest. Two additional suspects in Kerman were detained while transporting weapons disguised as family members; authorities seized seven pistols and ten magazines from them.
