Iran dismisses Azerbaijanophobic clergyman

An Iranian cleric, the Imam-Juma (Friday prayer leader) of the city of Qazvin, Abdul Karim Abedini, has been dismissed from his post, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media. 

Abdul Karim Abedini was known for his anti-Azerbaijan statements.

To recall, a few days ago, the Charge d'Affaires of the Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan Seyyed Jafar Aghaei Marian was summoned to the Foreign Ministry. At the meeting, the Azerbaijani side pointed out the inadmissibility of the participation of several religious figures, including Imam-Juma of Qazvin, in anti-Azerbaijani activities.
