Iran downs Israeli drone near Hamadan Photo

Air defence systems in western Iran have intercepted and destroyed an Israeli tactical drone near the city of Hamadan.

The aircraft, identified as an Orbiter-5 tactical drone, was shot down west of the nearby area of Gol-Tepe, Tasnim reports. 

No further details were provided on potential damage or casualties.

Officials say the incident marks the eighth drone intercepted in the same area since the start of the current escalation.
