Iran, E3 to discuss removal of EU sanctions, nuclear security
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to hold a joint telephone call on August 22 with his counterparts from Britain, France, and Germany, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said.
According to Baqaei, the talks with the European Troika (E3) will focus on the lifting of sanctions imposed on Iran, as well as security concerns related to nuclear facilities. He said the discussions would also address recent attacks on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
On June 13, Israel carried out strikes on several sites in Iran, citing concerns over its nuclear program. Iran retaliated with missile barrages on Israel. The United States also conducted airstrikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities. The hostilities ended on June 24.
