Iran executes man accused of spying for Israel’s intelligence

An Iranian citizen accused of spying for Israel has been executed in the Islamic Republic, as reported by the Iranian news agency Mehr.
“Hamid Reza Sabet Esmaeilpour, who was arrested on April 28, 2025, was hanged for espionage and collaboration with the Israeli intelligence service Mossad, which is hostile to Iran,” the report says.
The Iranian national is alleged to have communicated with a Mossad operative and provided secret information and documents.
The sentence was issued as part of a judicial process and approved by the Supreme Court of the Islamic Republic.
