Iran executes man accused of spying for Israel's Mossad
Iran has executed a man who was found guilty of spying for Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad, the semi-official Fars news agency reported on June 16, identifying the man as Esmail Fekri.
The execution is the third in recent weeks related to the conducting of espionage on behalf of Israel, Caliber.Az reports.
The publication says that Fekri tried to pass on secret and confidential information about the country to “Iran’s opponents” and receive a reward for it. According to the publication, he maintained contact with two Mossad officers as part of his cooperation with Israeli intelligence services.
To recall, yesterday, June 15, Iranian media reported the detention of two operatives of Israel’s foreign intelligence service, Mossad, in Iran’s northern Alborz province. The suspects were said to be Mossad members involved in the production of bombs, explosives, booby traps, and electronic equipment.
