23 April 2026 10:35
Iran has executed a man accused of links to Israeli intelligence services, according to Mizan News, a media outlet affiliated with the country’s judiciary.
The report said the execution of Soltan-Ali Shirzadi Fakhr was carried out on Thursday, April 23, after Iran’s Supreme Court upheld the death sentence against him.
According to Mizan, Shirzadi Fakhr confessed to involvement in “terrorist operations” targeting Iran. The outlet also claimed that he was a member of the opposition group Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MEK) and had illegally travelled to Iraq to cooperate with the organisation.
