Iran executes three more protesters linked to January unrest

Iran has carried out the execution of three individuals involved in the January protests, according to Iranian media.

The individuals were identified as Mehdi Rasouli and Mohammadreza Miri, described as “Mossad elements”, as well as Ebrahim Dolatabadi, who was portrayed as a key figure in unrest in the Tabarsi district.

Rasouli and Miri were said to have played a “direct role” in the killing of a member of Iran’s security forces during those events, while Dolatabadi was accused of leading groups involved in clashes that resulted in additional casualties.

Human rights groups claim that Iran has executed at least 25 political prisoners since the start of US and Israeli strikes on February 28.
