Iran FM compares Bushehr attacks to Zaporizhzhia, cites double standards
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has drawn a comparison between the international reaction to fighting near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine and reported strikes on Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, questioning what he described as a lack of Western response.
In a post published on the social media platform X, Araghchi criticised what he portrayed as selective outrage, stating that Israel and the United States have already targeted the Bushehr facility multiple times, as per Caliber.Az.
“Remember the Western outrage about hostilities near Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine?” Araghchi wrote.
“Israel-U.S. have bombed our Bushehr plant four times now. Radioactive fallout will end life in GCC capitals, not Tehran.
Attacks on our petrochemicals also convey real objectives,” the post reads.
