Iran hits US-linked fuel terminal, military facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it launched missile and drone strikes targeting a fuel terminal in Kuwait's Port of Al-Ahmadi and several U.S. military-related facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain, according to a statement published on the group's official Telegram channel.
The IRGC said the strikes were carried out during the 19th phase of what it called "Operation Nasr-2," describing the attacks as retaliation for what it referred to as "last night's aggression."
According to the statement, the fuel terminal at the Port of Al-Ahmadi, which the IRGC claimed supplies fuel to the U.S. Navy operating in the region, was among the targets.
The IRGC also said the operation targeted U.S. military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait, including what it described as a combat aircraft deployment site at Sheikh Isa Air Base, as well as intelligence and communications centres.
