Media: Drone-damaged building locates 3 km from Russian oil refinery PHOTO
An apartment building damaged in a drone attack in Novokuybyshevsk, Russia’s Samara Region, lies about 3 km from the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery, ASTRA reports.
The report said the damaged building is located at 9 Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya Street.
About 3 km away, along the suspected flight path, is the Novokuybyshevsk 220 kV electrical substation.
Another major oil infrastructure facility, the Voskresenka linear production dispatch station, is located approximately 1.7 km from the building. The facility is part of Transneft–Druzhba and is involved in receiving, storing, accounting for and transporting petroleum products through trunk pipelines.
Earlier, Samara Region Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev confirmed the attack on the region. According to him, civilian facilities were damaged, but there were no fatalities.
