Iran interior minister heads to Kyrgyzstan for SCO security talks

Iran’s Interior Minister has departed for Kyrgyzstan to take part in a meeting of interior ministers from member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Eskandar Momeni, who is leading an official delegation, traveled to Bishkek on June 4 for the gathering and is expected to hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from other SCO member states during his visit, Iran International reports.

The meeting brings together interior ministers from across the SCO to discuss security cooperation and related regional issues, with additional discussions and side meetings planned on the sidelines of the event.
