Iran launches missile strikes on five US military bases

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has carried out missile strikes on five U.S. military bases across the Middle East, as well as on Israeli targets near Tel Aviv and Haifa, according to Iranian military sources.

The strikes were described as part of the 31st wave of the IRGC’s Operation “True Promise 4.” The IRGC Aerospace Force reportedly employed Ghadr, Khorramshahr, and Heibar-Shekan missiles to hit the designated targets, Tasnim reports. 

Officials highlighted that the operation included an attack on the area housing the U.S. Navy’s 5th Fleet.

Iranian authorities emphasised that the strikes were “powerful” and targeted strategic U.S. and Israeli military positions.
