Iran launches new wave of strikes on Israel in retaliation for Larijani’s death
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced a new wave of large-scale strikes against Israeli territory following the killing of former Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani.
The operation, dubbed “True Promise-4,” marked the 61st wave of retaliatory actions since the start of the conflict, Press TV reports.
According to the IRGC, more than 100 targets in central Tel Aviv were hit, including military and security facilities. The corps stated that the missiles penetrated Israel’s air defence systems without obstruction.
It also claimed that more than 230 enemy personnel were killed or wounded as a result of the strikes. In addition to Tel Aviv, targets in Jerusalem, the port of Haifa, Beersheba, and the Negev desert were reportedly attacked.
At the same time, Iranian forces carried out strikes on US military bases in Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, the IRGC added.
