Iran lawmaker says talks with US would require acceptance of Tehran’s conditions
27 April 2026 13:37
Any negotiations with the United States would be aimed at Washington accepting the Islamic Republic’s conditions, an Iranian lawmaker said on April 27.
Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the parliament’s national security and foreign policy committee, said the United States would have no choice but to accept Iran’s terms if it wanted to act “rationally," Caliber.Az reports per Iranian media.
He said Iran’s 10 conditions include recognition of its right to uranium enrichment, compensation for damages, and acceptance of Iran’s position on managing the Strait of Hormuz.
Rezaei added that Tehran would not retreat from these positions and said the situation in the Strait of Hormuz would not return to its previous status.
