Iran offers reward for capture of US pilot VIDEO
Iranian televesion has announced that the country is offering a reward for information leading to the capture of an American pilot reportedly shot down over Iranian territory on the morning of April 3.
The pilot was said to be part of the crew of a U.S. fighter jet targeted by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Nour News reports.
Howver, earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed that it had already captured the US pilot after the reported downing of a second F-35 fighter jet over central Iran earlier in the day.
The IRGC said the aircraft was destroyed in Iranian airspace, marking what it described as the second US Air Force jet loss within a 12-hour period. It added that the pilot ejected and landed inside Iran, where he was subsequently taken into custody.
No official statement has been issued by the United States regarding the incident.
