Iran offers to transit Russian gas through its territory

Iran is keen to enhance cooperation with Russia by facilitating the transit of Russian gas through its territory, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali said.

Speaking at the Caspian Forum in Astrakhan, Jalali affirmed Iran's readiness to partner with Russia in this regard, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.

"We are very interested in working with the Russian Federation, and are ready to conduct Russian gas through Iran's territory," Jalali stated, highlighting the strategic nature of the proposed collaboration.

Jalali also noted that Russia has emerged as the leading foreign investor in Iran for 2023, underscoring the growing economic ties between the two nations.
