Iran oil & gas expo strategic nexus for domestic & global energy players

The 28th International Iran Oil and Gas Expo is poised to showcase the latest advancements and innovations in the energy and oil industry, drawing participation from a significant number of domestic and foreign companies.

Scheduled from May 8 to 11, 2024, at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground, this event stands as a pivotal platform for collaboration, networking, and exploration of investment opportunities within Iran's burgeoning oil and gas sector, Mehr reports.

According to the announcement by the public relations department of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), the Expo will witness the participation of over 1,500 domestic companies spanning various segments of the energy and oil industry. Additionally, more than 250 foreign companies from nations such as Russia, China, Germany, France, Japan, and Canada, among others, are set to engage in this prominent event. This robust participation underscores the global significance of the Expo and highlights Iran's strategic positioning in the energy market.

Gholamreza Jamali, Head of the Public Relations Department of NIOC, emphasized the pivotal role of the Expo as a catalyst for fostering collaboration and driving innovation in the energy sector. He underscored its significance as one of the largest energy events, serving as the primary exhibition platform for Iran's oil industry.

Notably, the Expo will witness active involvement from key stakeholders, including NIOC, the National Iranian Gas Company, the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC), and the National Petrochemical Company of Iran. This collective participation underscores the Expo's role as a nexus for knowledge exchange, technological advancements, and business opportunities.

Jamali highlighted the Expo's potential to facilitate collaboration and investment opportunities both domestically and globally. With Iran boasting substantial capacities and capabilities across the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, the Expo serves as an ideal arena for forging partnerships, signing agreements, and fostering Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between companies.
