Iran: Over 20 people from Lorestan Province killed in recent attacks
As many as twenty-one people from Lorestan province have been killed and many others injured following recent attacks by Israel, according to Reza Sepahvand, the representative for Khorramabad and Chegini.
Speaking to Iranian media, Sepahvand said that most of the incidents across the country are carried out by infiltrators used by the regime, rather than by the regime directly, Caliber.Az reports.
Funerals for some victims have already been held, with more planned.
He highlighted the strong spirit of Lorestan’s people, who have endured missile attacks during the Iran-Iraq war and showed great resilience in attending the funeral ceremonies.
Sepahvand also warned about the security risks posed by unauthorised foreign nationals entering the country.
He said some infiltrators have been identified and arrested, and efforts are underway to bring the situation under control.
He added that these individuals had spent months planning and gathering intelligence before launching their operations. Thanks to security and intelligence work, many have been detained.
Sepahvand concluded by condemning the Zionist regime’s long history of violence and expressed confidence that their current plans would be defeated.
