Iran plans broader deployment of upgraded military systems

Iran's Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics said the country’s military plans to expand the use of modernised weapons systems as developments in the conflict continue.

According to Fars News Agency, the statement was made by the ministry’s spokesperson, Reza Talaei-Nik, a brigadier general.

Talaei-Nik said the Iranian armed forces intend to increasingly deploy upgraded military equipment and more advanced weapons, particularly missile systems.

“The further the situation develops, the more modernised weapons will be used in various fields, especially ballistic missiles and other types of missiles with greater destructive power, higher manoeuvrability and accuracy, and the ability to strike targets,” he said.

He added that Iran’s military operations would intensify as the situation evolves.

“According to a well-considered plan and a reasonable strategy, the armed forces will increase the intensity and duration of operations as the enemy reaches a dead end and enters a downward trajectory, which we are now witnessing,” Talaei-Nik said.

“This balance of power will continue to shift in favour of the fighters thanks to new, unexpected measures and the use of more powerful weapons by the armed forces,” he added.
