Iran pledges continued commitment to Hormuz security
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said he has reaffirmed Tehran’s commitment to ensuring security in the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as a “historic duty” during talks with Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
According to a post published by Araghchi on the social media platform X and cited by Caliber.Az, the Iranian foreign minister, said the issue was discussed during his engagement with the Indian side, alongside broader regional developments.
In fruitful engagement with my host @DrSJaishankar, discussed regional developments and clarified that Iran will always carry out historical duty as protector of security in Hormuz.
