Iran pushes back against US demands claims greater strength than Ukraine

Member of Iran's parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy Abolfazl Zohrevand has said that Iran hit back at US attempts to impose terms on the country, claiming that Washington has misjudged its position.

Zohrevand noted that the US has mistakenly assumed it could pressure Iran in the same manner it has with Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.

"The Americans are trying to use psychological tactics to present Iran as a weak nation," Zohrevand said. "They are creating an illusion that, like Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Iran would be ready to accept all demands from US President Donald Trump due to supposed weakness. But this is far from the truth. They are wrong."

The Iranian lawmaker emphasised that, unlike Ukraine, Iran is a far stronger and more capable nation. 

"Iran has far greater potential and power than Ukraine, and Trump is fully aware of this," Zohrevand added, highlighting the country's resilience and strategic significance on the global stage.
