Iran receives new stealth cruise missiles invisible to air defence systems
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has significantly bolstered its naval capabilities by integrating 2,640 new missile systems, drones, and other advanced combat equipment.
The addition, overseen by IRGC Commander Major General Hossein Salami, enhances the navy's arsenal with a mix of long-range and medium-range missile systems, reconnaissance and strike drones, electronic warfare technology, and naval radars, Caliber.Az reports citing the Iranian media.
The centerpiece of this integration is a new generation of cruise missiles equipped with high-explosive warheads and advanced stealth features, rendering them nearly undetectable to enemy radars. These missiles are designed to deliver substantial damage and can target and sink enemy destroyers. Although only 210 of the newly integrated systems were showcased during the ceremony, the full scale of the enhancements represents a major upgrade in the IRGC Navy’s offensive and defensive capabilities.
