Iran reopens airspace after disruptions

Iran has reopened its airspace and a number of airports starting from 7 a.m. local time on Saturday, April 18, according to the country’s Civil Aviation Organisation.

Iran International reported that air routes in the eastern part of the country are once again available for international flights transiting through Iranian airspace.

The reopening will be phased, with flight operations at airports across the country resuming gradually. Authorities said the pace of restoration will depend on the technical and operational readiness of both military and civilian sectors responsible for handling air traffic and passenger services.
