Iran reports seven fatalities among military forces after US strike

Seven Iranian military personnel were killed as a result of the latest US strikes on a military facility in the southeast of the country, the Iranian army announced.

The press service of Iran’s Ground Forces said the attack targeted a facility in the city of Iranshahr, located in Sistan and Baluchestan province, leaving several other military personnel wounded, Caliber.Az reports.

“Despite the scale of the attack and the intensity of the missile strikes, which were carried out with the intention of inflicting maximum human losses, the implementation of passive defence measures and the precautions taken helped prevent a higher number of casualties,” the army stressed.

The Iranian army vowed in its statement that Tehran intends to respond to the US strike.
