Iran reshuffles security leadership, names new intel chief photo

Iran has appointed new leadership to key national security and intelligence positions, according to AVAtoday.
Hossein Dehghan has been named secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, replacing the late Ali Larijani. Dehghan previously served as Iran’s defence minister and later as an adviser to the Supreme Leader on defence industry affairs.

Separately, Mostafa Pourmohammadi has been appointed head of Iran’s intelligence, taking over from Esmail Khatib. Pourmohammadi has a long background in the country’s security apparatus, including previous roles as interior minister, prosecutor general, and head of foreign intelligence.

Official confirmation of these appointments has not yet been provided.
