Iran restores full national airspace after restrictions eased
23 June 2026 18:25
Iran has fully reopened its airspace over the western part of the country and resumed permission for transit flights, the Civil Aviation Organisation (CAO) said.
Authorities had previously limited operations to the eastern region.
“The airspace over the western part of the country, like the eastern part, has begun operating on a 24-hour basis. In addition to domestic flights, the necessary conditions have been created for transit flights through the country’s airspace,” the CAO said in a statement.
It added that all Iranian airports are now permitted to conduct operations in accordance with national aeronautical regulations and procedures set out in the country’s official aeronautical information publication.
