Iran restores half of damaged South Pars gas capacity

Around 50% of the damaged capacity at Iran’s South Pars gas field had been restored and returned to service as of September 22, with production resumed, according to Iran International, citing Iran’s deputy oil minister for planning, Ahmad Zeraatkar.

Zeraatkar said the planned restoration targets had been achieved and that all remaining scheduled work was expected to be completed before the start of winter.

The latest figure marks further progress in the recovery of South Pars. On August 27, Zeraatkar had said that about 40% of the damaged capacity at the field had returned to production, with reconstruction continuing after debris removal was completed.
