Iran’s army shoots down 28 Israeli targets in 24 hours
Iran’s Air Defence Forces successfully intercepted and shot down 28 Israeli aerial targets over Iranian airspace within the past 24 hours.
An official statement from the Iranian Armed Forces underscored that among the intercepted targets was an Israeli Hermes drone, which Tehran contends was engaged in reconnaissance operations aimed at gathering intelligence on “sensitive” sites, Caliber.Az reports.
Iran’s military has previously claimed to shoot down numerous Israeli fighter jets.
On the night of June 13, Israel initiated Operation Rising Lion, targeting Iran's nuclear program. Within less than 24 hours, the Islamic Republic executed a retaliatory strike. In the ensuing days, both Israel and Iran engaged in a series of reciprocal attacks. Each side reported fatalities and injuries, acknowledged striking multiple targets within their respective territories, yet maintained that the inflicted damage remained limited.
