Iran's envoy to Pakistan removes social media post on planned US talks
Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam appeared to have deleted a post on X that said his country’s delegation would arrive in Islamabad on the night of April 9 ahead of talks with the US this weekend.
The post had said the delegation was coming “despite skepticism of Iranian public opinion due to repeated ceasefire violations by Israeli regime to sabotage the diplomatic initiative,” Caliber.Az reports.
In his earlier post, Moghadam wrote that despite attempts by Israel to disrupt diplomatic efforts, “at the invitation of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Iranian delegation is arriving in Islamabad this evening.”
The reasons for the deletion of the post have not been disclosed, leaving the timing and details of the proposed talks uncertain.
