Iran’s first VP to visit Russia for SCO meeting
Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref will visit Russia on 17 November to attend the 24th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
According to Tasnim, Aref will deliver remarks at the session and hold talks with representatives of several SCO member states during his visit.
Ahead of this 24th meeting, national coordinators of SCO member states met on November 14 in Moscow for consultations on the organisation’s documents and proposals.
The meeting focused on coordinating the draft Action Plan for 2026-2030 for the implementation of the Program of Multilateral Trade and Economic Cooperation among SCO member states, according to a release by the organisation reported by IRNA.
During the event, the authorised representatives agreed on the text of the Plan, which has been included in the list of documents proposed for signing at the upcoming Council of Heads of Government meeting, the statement added.
