Iran's foreign minister discusses Gaza, Lebanon with Hezbollah leader
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian met with Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, head of the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah, in Beirut on February 10 to discuss the situation in southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.
The two sides had discussions on a number of bilateral, regional and international issues, Tasnim news agency reported. The situation in Palestine, the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon were among their main topics of discussion.
Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Mojtaba Amani, Advisor to Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Asghar Haji and Director General for West Asia and North Africa at the Iranian Foreign Ministry Mahdi Shushtari also attended the meeting.
The agency notes that Beirut was the first stop on Abdollahian's regional tour. From Lebanon, he will travel to the Syrian capital Damascus.
