Iran’s Foreign Ministry confirms readiness for long-term defence

Tehran is prepared to use all available resources to defend its territory and population without setting any time limits, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi said in an interview with CNN.

Responding to a question about how long the country could withstand strikes that, according to U.S. President Donald Trump, might last more than a month, the diplomat stressed the republic’s determination.

“We will defend ourselves to the best of our ability. And I mean that time is not of the essence. We will do whatever is necessary to protect our sovereignty and our people, no matter what,” Takht-Ravanchi stated.
