Iran’s internet blackout enters 45th day, monitoring group says
13 April 2026 13:45
Iran’s nationwide internet shutdown has continued for 45 consecutive days, surpassing 1,056 hours, internet monitoring group NetBlocks said.
“It's now day 45 of Iran's internet blackout, with international connectivity severed for over 1056 hours. Regime figures and whitelisted influencers post freely on social media while they silence a population of 90 million whom they claim to serve,” the monitoring group said, Caliber.Az reports.
Meanwhile, Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani said the restoration of Iran’s internet access would depend on a decision by security officials.
She did not give a timeline for when the internet shutdown would end.
