Iran’s internet blackout surpasses 720 hours, enters fifth week
30 March 2026 12:40
Iran’s nationwide internet outage, imposed by authorities, has now lasted 31 days, surpassing 720 hours, internet monitoring group NetBlocks confirmed.
The prolonged blackout, continues to cut off most Iranians from access to the global internet, Caliber.Az reports, citing NetBlocks.
“It has now been over 720 hours since Iran fell off the global internet with the digital blackout entering its 31st day.
As the shutdown continues into its second month, misinformation and propaganda increasingly fill the void both domestically and internationally,” NetBlocks said.
