Iran’s IRGC navy conducts missile, air defence tests in Persian Gulf drills Video

05 December 2025 14:01

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy has carried out a series of missile and air defence tests as part of a military exercise underway in the Persian Gulf.

During the second phase of the drills, the IRGC launched Qadr 110, Qadr 380, Qadir, and 303 ballistic missiles from inland positions, stating they struck predetermined targets in the Sea of Oman with high accuracy, Mehr reports.

Drone systems were also deployed simultaneously to attack simulated enemy bases, which Iranian officials said were successfully destroyed.

The exercise, which began on December 4, also included air defence operations from naval vessels, with ship-based systems practicing responses to mock air attacks on Iranian ships and coastal infrastructure.

According to the IRGC, the drills aim to test the stability of combat systems and strengthen defences against electronic warfare in simulated conflict conditions. The maneuvers are taking place across the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the areas around the Nazeat Islands, including Abu Musa, Greater and Lesser Tunb, and Siri.
