Iran’s IRGC vows symmetrical response to any US threat

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has declared that its armed forces will respond symmetrically to any attack or threat from the United States.

“We are determined to respond to any threat at a level that creates a deterrent balance. The US does not know our capabilities, but it will certainly see them on the battlefield,” the IRGC said in a statement Fars News Agency reports.

The announcement comes amid heightened tensions following a military operation launched by the United States and Israel on February 28, which targeted major Iranian cities, including Tehran. In retaliation, the IRGC said it conducted a large-scale counterstrike against Israel, signalling Tehran’s readiness to escalate if provoked.
