Iran's Mahan Air launches flights to St Petersburg

Iranian Mahan Air has become the third airline to launch flights between Tehran and St. Petersburg, the press service of Pulkovo Airport's management company, Air Gateway of the Northern Capital, told journalists on June 9.

"This is the third carrier to operate flights between St Petersburg and the Iranian capital. This summer, the number of flights to Tehran from Pulkovo Airport will triple compared to the same period last year," the press service said, according to TASS.

Mahan Air will fly to Tehran once a week on Fridays on its Airbus A340-300.

Earlier, Meraj Airlines and Nordwind Airlines opened flights to Iran from St. Petersburg for the first time.
