Iran's president to attend BRICS summit in New Delhi
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will participate in the upcoming BRICS summit in New Delhi, according to an Iranian source cited by Russia's state news agency TASS.
The source confirmed that Pezeshkian will attend the gathering, saying that the Iranian president's participation in the summit has been finalised.
The 18th BRICS Summit is scheduled to take place in the Indian capital on September 12–13, 2026. India, which will hold the group's presidency, has announced that the main theme of the summit will focus on strengthening resilience, innovation, cooperation, and sustainable development.
The meeting will bring together leaders of BRICS member states to discuss economic cooperation, development initiatives, and broader global issues. Iran joined the expanded BRICS group as part of the bloc's recent enlargement efforts.
