Iran’s president: War should end while Tehran is in strong position

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said the country is in a strong geopolitical position and that there is an opportunity to end the war in the Middle East on favourable terms.

“The war must end at some point. It is best to end it today, while we are in a strong position, are held in high regard, and the whole world recognises our victory, emphasising that the U.S., in violation of the rules, is attacking our schools, hospitals, and infrastructure,” the Etemad Online news agency quoted Pezeshkian as saying.

Pezeshkian said bringing the conflict to an end while Iran is in a strong position would be preferable to prolonging the fighting.
