Iran's West Azerbaijan province holds mourning сeremony for Khamenei Photo

On the morning of March 3, a mourning ceremony took place in Urmia, Iran, following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, who was killed in a US-Israeli strike.

The event was attended by the governor of West Azerbaijan, the Friday imam of Urmia, as well as a number of government officials and members of the public, Tasnim reports. 

At the same time, funerals were held for members of Iran’s security forces who were killed in the attack.
