Iran says air defences shot down Hermes 900 drone in Lorestan video

Air defence forces in western Iran have shot down a Hermes 900 unmanned aerial vehicle in Lorestan province, according to Iranian officials.

The incident occurred in Khorramabad, the capital of Lorestan province, Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported, citing a statement from the Iranian army.

According to the operational headquarters of the 84th Infantry Division stationed in the province, the drone was intercepted and destroyed while Iranian air defence units were conducting a patrol of the district’s airspace.

The statement said the unmanned aircraft was identified as a Hermes 900. Iranian military officials added that debris from the drone was located and documented at the site where it was brought down.
