Iran says army at full combat readiness, upgrading equipment
Iran’s army is at full combat readiness and is receiving new military equipment, its spokesperson Mohammad Akraminia said, according to the Iranian news agency YJC.
“The army is in a state of full combat readiness. [The command] continues to make efforts to enhance combat capability by modernising damaged [air defence] systems, importing new equipment and relying on domestic capacity. <...> After new equipment was introduced into service in the units, a regrouping of military hardware was carried out in accordance with modern standards,” he said.
Akraminia added that efforts are ongoing to upgrade capabilities through a combination of repairs to existing systems, procurement of new equipment and the use of domestic resources.
