Iran says flights could resume after truce despite aircraft damage
17 April 2026 14:39
Domestic flights in Iran could resume following a ceasefire, with authorities stating that there has been no major infrastructure damage, Iran International reports.
About 50 aircraft were damaged in US and Israeli strikes, with 10 destroyed by direct missile hits, Mohammad Reza Rezaei Kouchi, head of parliament’s construction committee, said.
He added that some of the damaged aircraft could potentially return to service.
Kouchi also said domestic and international flights could resume if a deal is reached or the ceasefire is extended.
“There is no serious infrastructure problem,” he said.
