Iran says its drones struck multiple Israeli military sites VIDEO
The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran has issued a statement No. 23 announcing drone strikes on several strategic Israeli targets.
According to Iran’s IRIB broadcaster, the attacks targeted several Israeli military infrastructure facilities early in the morning.
The reported targets included the Israeli military intelligence organisation Aman, Unit 8200, the Green Pine radar system, as well as the submarine headquarters building at the Haifa naval base. Iranian sources claim that the strikes are ongoing.
In the statement, Iran described Aman as part of Israel’s intelligence structure responsible for target identification and military operations, while Unit 8200 was identified as a key signals intelligence unit involved in intercepting digital communications and conducting cyber operations.
The Iranian army also stated that the Green Pine radar is a critical component of Israel’s missile defence system, and that damage to the radar could affect the country’s ability to intercept incoming missile threats.
The statement emphasised that Iran’s armed forces intend to continue operations that they say are aimed at defending the country’s independence and territorial integrity.
