Iran says military operation against Israel has ended
Iran's Armed Forces have announced the conclusion of their military operation against Israel while warning that any renewed Israeli attacks on Lebanon would trigger a significantly stronger response from Tehran.
In a statement carried by Iranian media outlet Mizan, the Armed Forces' Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command said the operation was launched in response to Israeli military actions in southern Lebanon and Beirut's southern suburbs, known as Dahiya.
According to the statement, Iran carried out what it described as a "painful response" against Israel in support of the Lebanese people, following Israeli actions that Tehran said were conducted with U.S. backing.
"The cessation of military operations is hereby announced," the command said. However, it warned that if hostilities continue, particularly in southern Lebanon, Iran would take "much harsher and more devastating measures" than those already carried out.
